O Music Awards Blog

Sample of O Music Awards Blog

Prior to the launch of the O Music Awards voting site, we at Happy Cog launched a blog for the MTV team to start adding content and building buzz about the new awards show. My roles included responsive design, front-end development, and CMS development.

Cognition

Sample of Cognition

Cognition is a blog for the team at Happy Cog to share and muse about some of the processes that go into the strategy, design, and building of websites. The site is responsive and has lots of wonderful details under the hood. I worked on the responsive design, front-end development, and CMS development.

They Might Be Giants

Sample of They Might Be Giants

In Summer of 2009, I had the pleasure of working with one of my all-time favorite bands, They Might Be Giants. Jason Santa Maria did the visual design, and I did the front-end and WordPress development.

Mozilla

Sample of Mozilla

In 2009, we had the awesome opportunity to work with Mozilla.org on a number of different projects. This particular page is focused on the effort to raise support for Namoroka Park in Madagascar. This park is full of very cute, very amazing lemurs. This is a fantastic example of doing fun work for a great cause.

Snikiddy

Sample of Snikiddy

I have had the opportunity work with Snikiddy on several redesigns of their website. This most recent redesign broadens the scope of age groups to which Snikiddy now caters. The site was rebuilt from the ground up, including making the jump to HTML5 and using web fonts.

Housing Works

Sample of Housing Works

We had the honor of working with the brilliant folks at Happy Cog on this website for the amazing group at Housing Works, a group focused on helping homeless men, women, and children of New York City who live with HIV or AIDS. Happy Cog did the design and we got to do the front-end development.

UrbanTurf

Sample of UrbanTurf

When UrbanTurf was just an idea they approached us wanting branding, design and front-end development. We teamed up with Mark Bixby to tag-team design and development. Mark built an excellent brand and art directed the site, while we did the markup and style as well as developing the email newsletter.

Crea

Sample of Crea

This project was an neat challenge because we got to take ExpressionEngine and push it in some fun and interesting ways. This is a multi-language site, showing content in both Dutch and French. We got to partner with the extremely talented Veerle Pieters of Duoh! in Belgium, who did the fabulous design, markup and style for this project.

City of Albuquerque

Sample of City of Albuquerque

The City of Albuquerque needed a radical change. Their previous site was in need of much help both on the outside and under the hood. Mark Bixby developed the look and feel for the new CABQ.gov and I developed top notch CSS and XHTML along with a high respect for standards and accessibility.
