Be Good Not Bad : Web Design :: Brian Warren : Denver, Colorado

Snikiddy

Back in 2006 we had the fun opportunity to work with Snikiddy, building their online presence into a community with a blog, photo gallery and more. This time around, we refined the experience, matching their new packaging design, and making the entire experience clean and open, while maintaining a fun, playful look and feel.

Housing Works

Housing Works

We had the honor of working with the brilliant folks at Happy Cog on this website for the amazing group at Housing Works, a group focused on helping homeless men, women, and children of New York City who live with HIV or AIDS.

When UrbanTurf was just an idea they approached us wanting branding, design and front-end development. We teamed up with Mark Bixby and made it a Method Arts project. Mark built an excellent brand and art directed the site, while we did the markup and style as well as developing the email newsletter.

This project was an neat challenge because we got to take Expression Engine and push it in some fun and interesting ways. This is a multi-language site, showing content in both Dutch and French. We got to partner with the extremely talented Veerle Pieters of Duoh! in Belgium, who did the fabulous design, markup and style for this project.

When Mark Bixby and I met it wasn’t long before we decided to build a consortium of freelance web designers, so as to combine our efforts and make amazing websites for people. This dream was realized shortly thereafter, and publicized through our website, MethodArts.com. Mark did the design for it, and I developed the CSS and XHTML, and built it out using Expression Engine.

Scott Boms of Wishingline DS brought me on to help develop the new website for Apple retailer BeamEcho in Toronto, CA. Wishingline spearheaded all the design and XHTML/CSS work, while I integrated the design into the content management system, Expression Engine.
