I woke up to a ton of snow! It’s pretty warm today so it’s melting off but it snowed all morning. What an excellent way to start the day!
Today’s the big day! At 6pm your time Apple releases Tiger to the public. I’m excited! We’ll be having a big event at the store. If you live near a store, definitely check it out. Have fun!
Last Friday our church held a forgiveness service in anticipation of Easter. This was a beautiful service that ended with everybody asking each other for forgiveness. We made our way around the church – lining up – saying “Please forgive me” and the other responds “May the Lord forgive you and me.” So beautiful, so appropriate. We have had various services daily throughout the week since then.
On Thursday we read through each of the gospel accounts of the passion and did lots of singing and praying. It was an awesome service for me which just flew by (whew … three hours!). It was such a very beautiful service. The accounts of those events really just came alive for me. So much love in the middle of so much chaos and awful events. It must have been very hard and emotionally trying for the writers of the gospels to write it all down, even many years later.
So as I write this it’s nearly Good Friday. I’m taking off work from Job #1 so that I can attend a service in the afternoon. Job #2 I need to go to …

That said, I’ve been busy, but alas, I don’t have a whole lot to show for my work right now. I’ve been working on a new portfolio site for Vance that’s just awaiting a few new content bits to go live. I’ve also been working on a new site for Aaron which is also awaiting tweaks from him. I’m working on a site for my church too, but that’s a long ways from being finished.
And I’ve been working at Apple, which keeps me extra busy and is lots of fun! I sell lots of laptops and ipods and everybody I work with is cool. When people come in who have never used a mac before (or at least not in the last 10+ years), that just warms my heart that I get to help people switch to the light side. I’m taking a tiny bit of time to lay down some text to appease my “not posting” guilt a bit.
Ever since starting the new job things have been quite busy. Oddly enough it’s not because of the new job. I only have worked 2 days on the floor so far. Other life stuff is keeping me busy enough. It’s budget season at Job #1, and that’s keeping my mind on the brink, as we cut all sorts of things out of the budget, nobody gets what they want, people get grumpy, etc. It makes me hate being in leadership. But leadership isn’t all bad, these times it’s just tough.
In other news, I’m brewing a batch of beer right now while I type this. It’s looking and smelling delightful. I’m brewing it for our church Easter BBQ. What’s that you say? Easter? Yep. I go to a Greek Orthodox Church, and Orthodox Christians celebrate Easter later in the year than Western Christians. Anyway I saw the sign-up board for the BBQ, and I noticed that there was a Beer/Wine section, so I put myself down for a case.
