The New Adobe Photoshop CS3 Toolbox

The New Adobe Photoshop CS3 Toolbox The design community has been somewhat polarized on the new branding of Adobe’s icons, which look pretty much like a Web 2.0 version of the periodic table.

Most think they’re pretty bad though some kinda like them.

What they don’t know is that this is just the beginning. Adobe feels like the letters are easier and quicker to understand at a glance than the more abstract iconography of the past. One should wonder if this is the case, for as we see here unveiled the new Adobe Photoshop CS3 toolbox panel.

Sure, I’m kidding, but I wonder really, what our docks (or quick launch bars) would look like if all our applications adopted Adobe’s ridiculous reasoning. This doesn’t bode well.
