Anna and I went to Whole Foods last night. It was a blast, I’ve never seen a natural foods store so big, beautiful and well-stocked. It really puts your faith right back into consumerism…
Well, anyway. One thing I picked up was a shaving brush. You know, those round brushes with the short handle and long bristles? I also got some shaving soap and tried the whole kit out last night.
After the challenge of finding a coffee mug in the cabinet that would fit the soap, everything else was a cinch. In fact, I’ve never had so much fun shaving.
The soap is a large disc, concave on one side. You drop it in the bottom of a coffee mug (or you can pony up the cash to buy an official shaving mug. Right.). Then you get the brush all nice and wet and swirl it around in the soap. Then comes the most fun part. Paint your face with the lather. After that, and take your time because that part is, like I said, the most fun, you shave.
I highly recommend it, as I’m a sucker for tactile stuff. I got the Herban Cowboy shaving brush and the Burt’s Bees shaving soap, but they had plenty of choices there.
