iTunes, Podcasting and Arnold

by Brian Warren on 08 June, 20053 Comments

iTunes is going to support podcasting. Not just support, but embrace. Just like you browse for and purchase music in the iTunes music store, you will be able to browse and subscribe to podcasts from within iTunes. I’m looking forward to trying it out.

And in case you needed more proof that podcasting is legitimate and here to stay, the govenator is podcasting now.

  1. Yeah, Im looking forward to that too. The podcasting apps that Ive tried just havent gelled with me at all, and it ends up in itunes for me anyway, so just using the one program sounds logical. And if its as easy to browse as iTMS, then count me in.

  3. I’ve been using the full version of NetNewsWire and I’ve been very pleased with how well the podcasting works. It’s very seamless as it checks the RSS feeds and if there’s an audio file attached, it downloads it and puts it in itunes for me. This also has the added benefit of letting me read any non-audio updates from that same RSS feed from within NetNewsWire, which I don’t anticipate iTunes will provide.
