A Walk near Siegelbach

by Brian Warren on 11 February, 20058 Comments

A horse we saw on a walk in Siegelbach.

We went on a nice walk right out the door of Brad and Laurel’s house down through this lovely valley in the countryside. We saw a cool shaggy horse on this walk.

We’re all but fully recovered from being sick and looking forward to monday when we cut loose from work stuff and move onto the rest of our trip. We’re not totally sure whether or not we’ll head straight to belgium or maybe stay at a town somewhere along the Rhine. Time will tell. Any suggestions?

  2. Oh, hurray!  You’ve totally spoiled us, Brian and Anna, so that I wait with great anticipation for your pix and posts and now here it is!!!  And a furry pony to boot—-I don’t mean to kick it.heh heh I’m glad that you’re all well and ready to hit the funnest part of the trip.  Good you were sick during the work part…..We miss you, love you, and enjoy living our lives vicariously through you as you experience the Olde World…..

  3. That’s actually a full-size horse, not a pony.

  4. You’re so close to Austria and Munich (I think).  You really should take a day to check out Neuschwenstein (sp!) Castle, or Salzberg (very pretty – home of Mozart), or Munich (with great beer, I hear).  You can also go on a “Sound of Music” tour there.  grin

  5. We’re more in southwest Germany. Not really close to Austria. However, everything is relatively close to everything else here in Europe.

  6. My suggestion would be to meander aimlessly and see what happens and watch the deadlines as they go whooshing by.

  7. P.S. Thrilled to hear of the return to health!  How’s the German beer?

  8. I like your ideas Dad! The german beer has been pretty good. However, I haven’t gotten to taste much, as I’ve been sick. Soon though! And also Belgium is known in homebrewing circles as “The Disneyland of Beer”
